Park Guidelines
Quiet Hours & Safety
To ensure all guests enjoy the peaceful bush atmosphere, quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 7 AM. Please note that fossicking safety is paramount—always follow designated safety signs and stay within permitted areas for a safe treasure-hunting journey.
Pets & Fires
Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times. Campfires are allowed in the communal fire pits only, subject to current fire restrictions. We ask all guests to respect the local wildlife and keep the grounds clean.
Check-in/Out
Check-in is available from 2 PM. Check-out is by 10 AM on your day of departure. Late departures may be available upon request at the general store.

Facilities & Amenities
Our park is fully equipped to ensure your stay is both practical and comfortable. Beyond our core amenities, we offer private washrooms, a coin-operated laundromat, and a community library in the 'Hut of Knowledge'. For your convenience, we also provide licensed liquor sales and essential supplies at our on-site store.

General Store - located on site at the entrace to the park, we are a licenced liquor & tabacco store, ice creams lollies chips frozen food ice & refreshments
WASHING AREA: Please do not wash/sieve gemstones at your site, cabin or at taps and sinks around the park, there is a free gemstone washing area up near the large green water tank complete with Willoughby's, tables and Sieves also additional sieves and picks are available for sale at the parks onsite general store.
Fossicking tours are avalable and operated by local 3rd party providers. You can find links and contact details on our 'Sapphires' page or ask our friendly staff at the general store upon arrival.
SHOWERS – We recommend all children under the age of 12 are accompanied by an adult – the hot water can be very very hot.
PETS - We are a pet-friendly park We welcome well-behaved pets, for the safety of other guests and your pets, please keep them on a leash at all times on leash at all times and pick up after them, you are welcome to take them to the camp fire and bbq but please do not take them into any of the amenities. All our Cabins are pet free
CAMPSITES - we offer both powered and unpowered sites. Powered sites include access to 240V electricity
Check-in is available from 12:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you plan to arrive after hours, please contact us in advance to arrange your entry.
AIR CONDITIONERS – we would be very grateful if you helped us stay eco-friendly by not running your air conditioners and heaters all day and night when not necessary
Yes, a fossicking license is required by law in Queensland. These can be purchased online through the Department of Resources website or at various local outlets in the Gemfields.
